A larger number was present at the concert, which was also most successfully oarried out, the sales continuing in the intervals between the item? on the programme. The opening item was a pianoforte duet " Luciadi Lammermoor " quadrille, niceiy*> played by Mrs .Martin and Mias Hamer ; Miss Bimpsoa followed with a song "Forget, Forgive," which she Bang very sweetly. Messrs Wool lass and Sauoders delighted the audience with a vocal duet '* The Pilot Brave," which was well sang. The next was a Bong rendered by Mrs Woollasa " The Valley by the . S*a," which was warmly applauded. Thii lady is always a favourite, possessing aY she does a well-trained and delightfully sympathetic voice. Mrs T. Nye sang. "The Oowa are in the Corn," and. for which the re* ceived an encore, repeating the last verse. .Miss E. .Spring rendered "The Lighthouse Light" very nicely, and was followed by Miss Hamer, who sang " Spring, Beautiful Spring." This was the last itemy and concluded the evening's enter- v tainment about eleven. The accompanyists during the evening were Mrs W. Cook and Mrs Martin. AH those who were connected in any way in oarrying oat the affair are to be congratulated on the result, the takings with donations amount 2j*l> ing to £25.
