We trust our Mayor will keep an eye on the £2000 voted for subsidising public libraries, and as soon as the notice is gazetted he will make prompt application. Mr Joe Tos has a quantity of building timber on the ground for a large addition he intends making to his present store. We believe Mr Andreason has secured the contract. The Manawatu County Council have abandoned the idea of building a lowlevel bridge over the Rangitikei near Bulls, the representatives feeling sure that such a flood, recently experienced, would wash it away. They therefore are going to see the Minister of Lands about a subsidy. Mr Alf Fraser's new advertisement draws attention to the fact that the largest stock and lowest prices in Xmas cards and fancy goods is to be seen at hi 6 establishment!.
