Tms Day.

Robert Taylor was charged with assaulting Edward Battersby. Constable Foster asked for a remand for seven days as the complainant was unable to appear. Remanded for seven days. Patrick Murphy was charged with having being helplessly drunk in the public street on 17th November. The Constable proved that he had been thrice convicted within the last three months, and had been remanded for seven days to Wanganui and had only been sent down last night. Convicted and sentenced to pay 20s and 6s cost of maintainance in default seven days' imprisonment.
