Vitriol Throwing.
A woman named Constance Nicholls was arrested in Wellington on Friday afternoon on a charge of having thrown vitriol over her husband. The man who was removed to the Hospital, was found to be badly burned, especially' about the neck and shoulders, but Jpnot considered to be in any danger. The parties have been before th® Court on one or two occasions ktodytMrs Nicholls having taken proceedings against her husband for maintenance. In consequence of statements made by the husband, Mr Kenny warned Mrs Nicholls that she must not interfere at all with the man's work, but had better leave him alone. The order sought for was made, an*"" ■ Nicholls promised to comply with jfcH* He said he would live with her, only that she had " kicked him out."
