Bulls Bridge.

On Saturday there was a meeting held at Marton of representatives of local bouies interested in the erection of the • Bull's bridge. Mr J. W. Marshall read ft lengthy memorandum in which the reasons for disagreeing igith the Commissioners report were set forth, which was duly signed by Messrs Marshall as chairman of the J. G. Wilson as chairman of the Manawatu County Council, and Thomas Bennett as chairman of Bolls Town Board. The memorandum was approved and it was reßolved that a copy be sent to the Minister of Lands. It was resolved that this meeting -jjl delegates from the Eangitikei Uounty Council, Manawatu County Council, and Balls Town Board having carefully considered the report of the Royal Commission, report that they have neither the means to carry oat the suggestions of the Commission nor do they think were they acted upon, that the structure would prove of a permanent and would suggest that a temporary low level bridge be erected at a site to be selected by the Councils' Engineers, and that Mr Mackay be instructed to prepare plans and specifications. Also that the tenders for the bridge be returned with an explanation to the senders of the circumstances which prevented the Council dealing with them.— Condeneed from Advocate,
