Nine Italian Anarchists have been arrested at Alexandria.

It ia believed that they contemplated the assassination of the Emperor of Germany and the Khedive. When it ms learned that the Emperor had altered his intention to visit Egypt, two Anarchists were deputed to proceed to Port Said, en routs to Syria. These men have nob yet been arrested.

A quantity of bombs were found in the possession of the men in custody. The German Government has thanked Mr Harrington, Commandant of the Police at Alexandria, for action in arresting the Anarchists. One of the Anarchists arrested was previously a waiter of Jerusalem. The Emperor, hearing of the existence of the plot in Egypt, ordered special peroautions to be taken during his visit to Venice.
