Outbreak of American Indians.

Fighting has occurred in the State of Minnesota between American troops and Cbippaway Indians. Four soldiers were killed. A hundred infantry, under General Bacon, fell into an ambush io Minnesota, and it is feared that all have been massacred. Reinforcements are being hnrri«?d to the soene of the outbreak, the cause of which is supposed to be due to the Ohippeways resenting the

suppression of the illicit liquor sales. Later reports from Minnesota state that General Bacon and his force are safe. The rumour of their having fallen into an Indian ambush and perished being untrue. , The revolting Chippeways have baen reinforced, and the rising is spreading.
