Foxton Racing Club.
A me«*mg of the Committee of the above Uitib was held at the Club's office last night, when there were present Messrs W. B. Rhodes (in the chair), W. Robinson, J. F. Overend, H. Border, W. Purcell, and the Secretary. The minutes ef the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
A proposal was made by an applicant that if the Club would find the material for a caretaker's cottage, estimated at £28, he would erect the same, provided he was permitted to reside there and allowed a small salary to look after the buildings, fences, and course. The consideration of the proposal was held over. It was resolved
That the advertising be the same as last year. That the erection of a jockey's room, and removal of the totalisator house be left to the Committee with power to act, the cost not to exceed J620.
That the hay on the course be left to the course committee to deal with.
