The late Sir George Grey.
THE EUNERAL.
There was a large attendance afc the funeral of the late Sir George Gr-y.
Lord Selborne, Parliamentary Secretary for the Colonial Office, represented Mr Chamberlain, Secreof S t ■ for the Colonies, who is ab>nt io America.
yir George Grey 'a cortege, which inslud^d twenty-one carriages prtH( cee<U-d to Sooth Kensington Tit Wotuiinster to St Paul's, and was awaited at St PauJ'i by Major General Glark, representative of the Queen, Lord Selbouro, representing the Government, Lord Monson, representing the Duke of SaxeCoburg, and Sir Frederick Graham, representing the Colonial Office. The coffin was placed on an open hearse decked with the Union Jaok and floral tributes from the colonies, and drawn by four black hones. The second carriage contained wreaths sent by the Queen, the Foreign Office. Wellington, Auckland Blomfeintein, Mr Chamberlain, the Duke of Saxe-Coburg, Lord Sudeley, the Agents-General, Earl Onslow, Maoris, and the Adelaide Register.
The mourners included fonr Greys nephews of deceased, five representatives of Australasia, Natal, and Cape Colony, who acted as pallbearers together with Earl Seloonrne and Messrs North and Bnssell, of New Zealand.
The Great congregation at St. Paul's included the Lord Mayor, Bir W. B. Peroival, the secretaries to the Agents-General, A. E. Collins, of the Colonial Office, representing Mr Chamberlain, Earl Grey, and Messrs J. F. Eogan and Michael Davitt, M,s'P.
Canon Scott Holland officiated at the grave.
The Agents General of Queensland New South Wales and Victoria were not present.
