Last nigb.t a general meeting of shareholders was to have been held at Rongotea to have the fourth ivp.irt and balance sheet lata 1 before them. Following is the foubth bkfobt. In presenting the accounts and balance-sheet for the year ending August 81st, 1898, your Directors have much pleasure io informing you that this year's transactions have been very satisfactory, showing a nett profit of £840 9s lOd which, added to last year's balanoe, gives* the Company £1055 14s Id available* for appropriation. Out of this sum we recommend the payment of a. dividend of 6% oh all paid-up oapital, a bonus of £500 to be divided amongst the milk supplying shareholders, and the balance to be carried forward to next_^ year's acccunt. During the year a very substantial and weli equipped Creamery has been erected upon an adjoining section for the purpose of dealing with the supply of milk. We now have every convenience fpr dealing with 7000 or 8000 gallons per day. Our business is still increasing, and we are unable to cope wjth the - many enquiries for our butter. Tbe quality is still maintained, our Home agents specially congratulating us upon its quality. We have dealt with 8,491, 0801 b of milk, Yielding 852,4841 b of butter, realising £14,796 Os 3d. „ You will be asked to amend the Rules by striking out the' words " and the fourth Wednesday in Maroh " on tha seventh and eighth lines of Rule 26. In accordance with the Articles of Association Messrs Carl Anderson

and Alfred Richmond retire from the Directorate, but are eligible for reelection. You will also be asked to elect a Director in the place of Mr W. Kobertstein, who has resigned. The Auditor, Mr G. J. Scott, aleo retires, bnt is also eligible for reelection. In conclusion your Direotors have again to thank yon for the assistance they have received from you at all times, and hope that the cordial relations that now exist between milk suppliers, working staff and Directors may always be maintained.
