Belying on Admiral Noel's pledge of protection, the Mussulmans are' disarming willingly. The Christian Cretans have promised not to make any attack upon them. About 1600 rifles, chiefly of obsolete pattern, have been surrendered by the Mussulmans. The order to disarm has been extended to the eastern and western provinces. .
