Foxton Racing Club.

A meeting of the Committee was held on Wednesday evening when the Secretary, owing to his leaving the town to reside at Tokomaru, offered to resign. The Committee however would not hear of it until after the next race meeting, and Mr George Gray having volunteered to assist Mr Whyte in every way, the Secretary agreed to carry out his duties. The following resolutions were agreed to. That a two days' meeting be held on Monday and Tuesday, January 23rd and 24th, 1899. That the programme be the same as last year. That the Club meet to transact general business the first Wednesday in every month. That Messrs Gray, Howan, Purcell, and Overend be elected a Course Committee.
