The Bulls Bridge Commission.

Kennedy Maodonald and Fulton opened an inquiry at Balls last week by reading their Commission whioh states that it had &een agreed by Government to conitribute M for 4» towards tb© cost of the bridge, but much doubt bad arisen as to the best; site and thr interests of the local bodiea conflicted. Dr Bennett represents the Town Beard. Mr J. G. WHson is tor the Maaawatu County, and Mx. John Marshall for the RangitikeL If r Marshall asked what was the object of the Commission. Mr T. Kennedy Macdonald replied^ that it was owing to a petition signed by 2,000 or 8,000 persona, And the position taken np by one local body. Rd was referred to the papers and fjund that tbe Town Board had Withdrawn its objection and had no petition against the site i leofced. Mrßydder volunteered to get a copy and the Court adjouvned mean* time. A copy of the petition being produced by Mr Bydder, Mr Marshall •aid no copy had been sent to the local bodies interested and he tra- j tersed.the reasons given in it.—
