•— Messrs Abraham and Williams report :— We have only the Palmerstpn sale to report on this week. Entries of sheep were below the average, though cattle mustered in greater numbers than of late. We have no change in values of store stock to report, and we cannot expect any marked improvement until we get rain. The beef entries sold readily at an advance on recent rates. We quote: — Sheep — Fat ewes (medium) ios 4d ; hoggets, 6s 6d to Bs. Cattle — Fat bullocks (medium weight) £5 19s to £6 17s ; fat heifers, do. £4 7s to £5; 3-year steers, £3 to £3 10; cows (springing) £4 is to £4 12s ; store cows ios to £1 ; mixed weaners, 14s.
