Rioting in Crete.

News from Crete states that the Mussulmans at Candia, resenting the Admirals installing the Christian

tithe collectors appointed by the autonomous administration, created a disturbance. The British troops opened fire on the rioters. The Mussulmans procured arms and attacked the soldiery, killing several.
