The Continental newspapers acknowledge that the battle of Egega wa y a brilliant decisive victory. Th- French journals express the f -ai' that the British will make a farther advance.
Five hundred friendly natives on camels are pursuing the Khalifa, whose flight was so rapid that he was compelled to abandon a number of the women of his harem. About 100 of his camels have been captured. It was officially announced that the Dervishes, at the battle of Egpga lost 11,500 killed and 16,000 wounded, while 4000 were taken prisoners.
