-■ 9 ■ The Committee of the Lancaster Park Trotting Club held an enquiry with reference to the entry of Maggie M in the Prince of Wales Handicap at the Spring meeting last year, and decided that they were satisfied with J. A. Holmes explanation that he had .no connection with the acceptance which was made without his consent, but considered he showed culpable negligence in not reporting to the, stewards the fact that the mare appeared in his name on the card. J. Higgins was disqualified for life for using Holmes' name for accepting with Maggie M without his consent.
