The late War.
# Fighting between the Cuban rebels and the Spaniards continues. President MeKiniey does not object to the Spaniards taking the offensive, as the rebels have noi respected the armistice. General Merritt has been ordered to proceed to Paris to attend the Peace Conference. Aquinaldo and the leading insurgents have held a Congress and proposed to send a representative to Paris to urge the establishment of v Republic.
