». - — Joseph Possell, son of a landowner at Armieng, lately married Miss Becker, bis landlady's daughter, at Kilburn. While the couple were travelling in Italy the wife was found dead at the foot of a cliff 200ffc high at Sorrento. Fossell alleged that the fall was the result of an accident. He was, however, arrested, but was subsequently released. It has since been discovered that there were heavy insurances on his wile's life. In order to avoid recapture, Po3sell commuted suicide at Paris.
