Russian Aggression in China.
It is stated that Russia is intriguing to obtain control of the maritime Customs of China, at present directed by Sir Robert Haft. The Russian newspapere compliment Sir William Harooprt on his speeches in connection with the Chinese question, and also commend Lord Salisbury's utterances. A. semi-official St. Petersburg journal says the English newspapers have been misinformed as to recent events with regard to Russia's alleged intention to injure the economic interests of Great Britain.
