FIGHTING AT MANILA. Nl-w-- has been received that the Spaniard:* twice attacked the American lines around Manila on 81st July. During the engagement 200 man we c killed and 300 wounded,. The r bels remained neutral. After allowing the Americans to entronch unmolested for 16 honrs 8000 Spaniard-" at midnight, daring toitvn s of rain, and covered by a hi avy shell fire, made a desperate ati-icl* en the outposts at Malate, driving the pickets in and forced the Americans from the trenches. After two hours' fighting, reinforcements onme up, charged and routed the Spaniards. T.n Americans were killed and 47 wounded. The Spaniards lost 800 killed and 900 wounded. Heavy artillery it shelling tty* American earthworks nightly. : *
