STOCK MARKET. Messrs Abraham and Williams report as follows : — Sales for the week comprise Levin, Pahiatua and Palmerston. At Levin on Friday last only small entries came forward, but buyers were in evidence, and with the exception of the dairy cows which were not in demand everything was sold. At Pahiatua on Tuesday last the weather was unkind and affected both our entries and attendance. Those present, however, were there for business, and we sold almost everything offered at good prices. At Palmarston, to-day we had a good attendance, but the recent cold snap evidently affected, the bidding somewhat. The sale dragged a bit, but we eventually cleared almost all the stock offered at prices fairly in accord with recent rates. For Lincoln store wethers us to iis 3d was offered and refused Quotations : — Levin. — Sheep:— Fat wethers, us 6d to 12s 3d ; store wethers, 8s to 8s 6d ; hoggets, 4s to 5s 8d ; forward 6wes Bs. Cattle— iß-month. mixed 235; mixed weaners, 15s ; working bullocks, £7 10s Berkshire boar, weaner, 10s. Pahiatua.— Sheep — Lincoln store wethers 10s ; others, 8s 7d ; hoggets 4s 3d to 7s. Cettle— Fat heifers, £3 3s 6d forward cows, £2 7s 6d. Palmerston Sheep — Forward wethers, 10s 6d to 10s 11&; store do., 8s 6d to 9s 46! ; fat ewes, 8s 6d to 10s; store do. 6s to 6s 6d ; mixed hoggets, sSiidto7s; culled do., 3s 5d to 4s id : ewes in lamb, 6s to 8s 8d ; Romney do., 7s iod.
