THE ATTACK ON PUERTO RICO.
A contingent of General Miles' expedition to Puerto Rico has occupied the village of Quanica, on the south coast of the island, 65 miles southwest of San Juan.
The Americans met with slight t-tsHuince. The Spaniards were taken by surprise, as they expected San Juan, which is on the north «;wrt, to be the first attacked.
