A CORRECTION.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE MANAWATU HEBALD. Sir,— l would call your attention to your report of the inquest on the late Mrs Wakefield. In your report you say that the medicine I gave her made her violently sick, thereby leaving the impression that the medicine was the cause of the vomiting. The cause already existed in the stomach, viz., chronic dyspepsia. Her food made her vomit just as much as medicine did, but she got over the vomiting before her death. I would also call attention that the examination held proved my diagnosis to be quite correct. I am, &c, W. Hamer. Foxton, June 28th, 1898.
