The fact that this plant, which ia an introduction from Australia, is spreading in pasture lands has been mentioned in former reports. So many specimens have, however, been received, and in several instances from districts whence tilt now no complaints have been heard, lhat it seems desirable to publish an illustration and ehort description in order that settlers may become familiar with a weed which is rapidly becoming a source of great annoyance to wool-raisers.
