The Transvaal.
The reply of the Transvaal Excutive to Mr Chamberlain's deapatoh declines to recognise the suzerainty of Britain over the Transvaal since the Convention of 1884. It main, tains that the Convention of 1881 is ineffective and reaffirms the right of the Transvaal Government to pro. cepd to arbitration in disputes with Britain.
