NATIVES REMANDED.

Hone Toil and 15 other Maoris from Waima were charged before Mr J. S. Olendon, S.M., at the Rawene Courthouse on Tuesday morning with treason, and r«manded. The charge against them is broach of section 81 of the Criminal Code Act, 1891, by conspiring together to levy war against Her Majesty the Queen in order by force to compel Her Majesty to change her measures, to wit, the Dog Registration Act, 1880, and its amendments. Inspector Hickson applied for . a remand to Auckland till Friday morning, which was granted.
