A Letter by Queen Victoria.

It -was picked up in one of tbe apartments of Kensington palaoe by Ann Jones, a servant in tbe establishment of the Duchess of Kent, tbe queen's mother. It was given by Ann Jones to her father, who in turn gave it to his master, a dis-

tingmshed antiquary, and on the death of tlie latter it came into the hands of another English gentleman, its present owner. Tho queen, who Is now nearly 76 yeara ■old, was only 9 yeara old whon this letter was written. Her grandmother was 71. It is doubtful if all the young folks who read this column could write as well at 9 years of ago. You will notico that there Is ono mistake in spelling — besides "affectionate," which is just a little shaky — the littlo princess baying come to grief over "your," and that, too, after she had safely got over "congratulate."
