Destruction of a Fibre Shed.

SUPPOSED INCENDIARISM.

The flaxmillers enemy, fire, has been again experienced, and though the loas is great the supposed origin of the fire is still more to be regretted. On Sunday evening, close upon eight o'clock, the shed situated on the river side near to Mr G. Coley's hemp mill was found to be on fire

The building belonged to Mr G

Coley and he had stored in it about

ten tods of fibre, some bales of tow and some beans. The building is built of iron and

the floor is raised on piles some distance off the ground, and if the floor was not particularly close it would have been possible to have put a match to a crack underneath the building. There appears no reaeon to suspect anyone except for the fact that without ifcs being a wilful acfc there is no way of explaining how fche fibre gofc on fire. The loss is a heavy one and we understand there are no insurances. Mr G. Coley was about the mill at the time filling the boiler of the engine with water and he fancies he heard somo one about and had a look round, but saw no one.
