HAVANA HARBOUR MINED.
Spain has been during the last eighteen months preparing the har* hour of Havana for defence, the gunpointing towards the course from Key West. Warships bave an anchorage where the water is deepest. Tbey enter by the narrow, tortuous channel, pass under the frowning heights of Moro and Cabanas, and reaching a certain locality beyond tbe Custom-house, drop anchor. Further in is the Spanish navy yard. It is no secret that the Spanish authorities have been planting tnpedoes in the harbour to supp;. mant the defensive works of the big new guns. The navy yard is whore these torpedoes have been propared.
