'The Report was an exceptionally short one detailing only the changes ifk the teaching staff during the year apd the average attendance. The numbers on the Roll on the Ist April, 1897, were 272, and on the Ist April last, 262. The balance-sheet showed that the 9um of £55 8s 8d had been dealt with, leaving a credit balance of £10 8s 2d. The Chairman then suggested the appointment of scrutineers and Messrs MitcheH and Purcell were elected.
There were eighteen nominated for the office of committee men and a ballot was taken resulting as follows : — Rfev. R. Young 54, J. W. Walsh 35, T.
