Assault and Robbery.

CRITICAL CONDITION OF THE

"VICTIM

ARREST OF THE OFFENDERS.

Another addition haa been made to the already long list of victims to highway robbery, which, though now leas frequent than a few years back, still occasionally occurs to menace life and liberty. Mr W. Le Paige, of Maud street, Chilnell, Geelong, Victoria, whilst driving along the highway from Pammure to Terang, was suddenly precipitated from his vehicle into a heap of blue metal, by which he sustained a fractured skull abd other injuries to his head, subsequently developing into an attack of paralysis of the brain, which laid him low, until,, at c, latter date, his illness was arrested by Dr Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People. To a reporter of the Footscray Chronicle, Mr Le Paige gave the following partioulars of his illness and recovery :— " The cause of my being thrown was* the hor.e taking fright and bolting, 1 ' said he, " the immediate result being that I had. to take to my bed for several weeks, months elapsing before I came convalescent, in faot I never completly recovered until recently. At timeß I was seized with most excruciating pains at the base of the skull, and so inclined to strange actions, that my friends were seriously considering the advisability of having me medically examined as to my mental oondition. Brain Paralysis, some medical experts termed it, shock to the system and nervous headaches was the verdict of others. Change of scene was. advised, and I tried all parts of Australia without success. At unexpected times I would experience severe headaches with spells of sleeplessness that often induced the mental query, 'Is life worth living ?' and I can tell you at times I felt very muoh inclined to take the answer into my own hands. Some four months sinoe I was induced to try Dr Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People in place of sleeping draughts, and the effect has been marvel^ lous. In less tban a week my brain became clear, the headaches that had troubled me continually disappeared, my natural rest returned, and in a few weeks I was as well as ever. During the last few weeks I have been out continuously, and the hottest day has caused me no in convenience. I don't profess to know much of drugs or medicines, but I do know at a few boxes of Dr Williams, Pink Pills did fot me what doctors in and out of hospitals tn three colonies failed to accomplish. That lam a sane man to-day, and in good health, I attribute to the sole use of Dr Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People. lam a native of Geelong, and am well-known there ; also in Melbourne and the western districts of Victoria."
