1 I . The usual monthly meeting of the j ibnve hoard was held at the secretary's office at noon on Thursday. Present— Messrs W. Park (in tbf ; ohair), Aisher, Baillie, Bavenhill, Taylor, Kendall, Booth, Lethbridge, Hammond, and W. Taylor and Rutherford, secretary. Accounts amounting to £168 fe were passed for payment. ■*-J& "tl ESTIMATES. % The secretary read the estimated ' rreeipts and expenditure for the coming year, which were as follows :— Receipts — From various sources, £488 ; levy at 5s 4d in tht £1000, £1167 5s 6d ; Government subsidy, £1157 5s 6d ; total receipt!, £2752 11s. Expenditure— Hospital, £1868 10s; charitable aid, £858 10? ; total expenditure, £27<69g. The chairman mentioned that the Board wag £100 better this year than at the same period last year. On the motion of Mr Lethbridga, the estimates were adopted. Borne diasonssitn took place on th« question of the salaries of the matron and the secretary, and it befog generally recognised that both went deserving of an increase, and^ was decided to raise the former to" £90, and the latter to £140 per annum. It was resolved to thank Be Lpvinge for bis donation of a time* finder. The thankg of the Board weru aUo conveyed to tbe Bey. H. F, Hunt for a donation of fruit and collected in connection with the thanks* giving service held at All Saints, church. Mr Letbbridge moved and Mr Booth seconded, that the rate for th« year be 5s 4d in the £1000.— Carried. It was proposed by Mr Lethbrldgo and seconded by Mr Booth, thaft £480 and subsidy of the levy bo allocated to tbe Charitable Aid foj? ensuing year. The Board then adjourned.
