What Should be Written of Foxton.
The Wanganui Herald df Monday thus reports the proceedings of the last few days, which proves what an excellent site the Manawatu Heads would be for similar work: — The Tyser Liner Indraghiri left the roadstead this morning, for "Wellington. Two more shipments of mutton were taken out to the big boat yesterday by the Huia and Fanny. In all 1(3 loads of frozen mutton have been transhipped, equal to about 16,000 carcases ; as also 1117 bales of wool, and 800 casks of tallow. The Huia, with a shipment of frozen meat, accompanied the big boat to Wellington this morning, and on -arrival the mutton will ba transhipped, as will also the final load of tallow, etc., which the Fancy will take from Wanganui thia afternoon. Tha value of tbe cargo shipped from Wanganui will be about £25,000.
