The total amount provided in the British Army Estimates for the com ing year is £1-9.980,500. It is proposed to increase the cavalry by 684 men, the horse and field artillery by 8458, the garrison artillery by 3714, the foot guards by 2861, the infantry regiments by 12, • 280, and the West Indian and Malta Eegiments by 2141 men. Tbe cost of these additions to the numerical strength of the forces is estimated at £1,516,000.
