Farewell at Tokomaru.

ti%<jt Friday evening the residents of Tokomaru gave a mUlf successful farewell to the Rev S. Barnett, the Primitive Methodist Minister, who is< on the eve of leaving for Waihi, after labouring for three years in the district. A large number of all shades of religious opinions were present to partake of a sumptuous tea laid out in the school room. At the conclusion of ths tea a meeting was held, presided over by Mr T. Miller, when addresses were given by the Rev». J. Wrigley and S. Barnett. Mr and Mrs Kendall also rendered several choice musical selections. The financial result was r very satisfactory the sum of seven guineas being taken.
