( ', The following resolutions were , I l| parsed : — ' , 1} P.roposed by the Mayor, seconded 1 1 '' by Cr Hennessy, That the weekly |l|l half-holiday, in compliance with ' | " Tha Shop* and Shop Assistants , Act," be held on Wednesday in each week for the year ending December 314,1898. ' I, Proposed by the KTayor, seconded , by Or Hennessy, That tenders be called for clearing out the following drains, viz, Main Swamp drain, Symons' outlet and Guerin's draim and Wirokino road draine. Tenders to be sent in before 7 p.m. of Monday, i February 7th. * '
