The New Royal Yacht.

The new royal yacht, shortly to be laid down at Pembroke Dockyard, is to he built of steel, sheathed with wood, and copper covered. She will displace about 4600 tons on 18ft dranghfe, the length and beam being 380fc and 50ft respectively. She will be fitted with twin-screw enginea, which when indicating 11,000 horse-power, are expected to drive her at 20 knots an hour. The vessel will have three funnels, and is to be a yacht pure and simple, with no pretension to the cruiser element.
