CONDENSED CABLEGRAMS.
Egypt. The fir3fc battalions of the Warwickahire and Lincolnshire Regiments, which have been stationed at Malta, are being sent to Cairo. They wilUimmediately be despatched to Wady Haifa (below the Second Cataract on the Nile) to check an expected Dervish advance. The, Mile is falling rapidly, and this will seriously hamper the operations of the Soudan expedition until May.
A battalion of Seaforth Highlanders baa been ordered from Malta to Egypt forthwith.
