Entries for Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Trial Hack Handicap (second day), close on SATURDAY, January 15th, 1898, at 9 p.m. Weights for second day's races will be declared on SATURDAY, January 22nd, 1898, at about 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9.30 p.m. DEFINITION OP HACKS. Hacks shall mean horses that have never won an advertised race exceeding the net sum or value of 40 soys at time of start (Hack and Hunter Races excepted.) RULES & REGULATIONS. In all nominations description, age and pedigree must be given, together with the colours of the rider. The advertised fee mast in every case accompany nominations and acceptances. All races to be run under the "Rales of Racing." too betting allowed on the course except through the medium of the totalisator. The Committee reserve the right to alter any of the above dates.
