• Yesterday about twenty members of the Try Again Lodge journeyed UO vehicles to Sandon. The District Meeting of Good templars, was held in the ftprnoon. In tbV evening our local friend! gave an en•^rtainment in the Public Hall, the Rev. S. Sfctrneit presiding. A programme of songs 4UHl recitations, both oomio and sentimental, were gone .through, which immensely pTtased the audience. A •pejfialt*' was an tfaborata Temperance Draft*, enaoted by •one dozen of the membra, in a surprisingly efficient manner. It is to be given in Foxton at an early date. The visitor* were treated right ttyally in the matter of fare. At 10 p.m. the party set homewards, arriving about J'a.m. to-day, hairing thoroughly enjoyed their outing.
