Produce Report.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports on the produce markets for the week ending 3rd December as follows : —

Wool. — The sixth series of sales are now prograpsing in London, and, although the attendance of buyers is good, competition is weak, except for long staple merino scoured, which is in demand. All wools of a faulty description are negleoted, and for the finer sorts of crossbred a distinct drop of Jd per lb has to be recorded. Wool is coming forward very freely for our second local sale on the 9-h inst., and we are certain to have a large oatalogue to offer buyers. We are assured that all the principal operators will ba present, and although the English outlook is not promising, we think there will bo good competition. Sheepskins.— We had only a small catalogue to offer to-day, but competition was good, and late rates were well maintained. Prime wellwoolled skins, with well-saved pelts, sold readily at up to 5Jd ; medium, 4£d to sd ; inferior and broken, 8d to 4d per lb ; pelts up to Is each. Oats. — Market still fully supplied, but prices are unchanged. Prime Bhort feed is worth 2a 5d to 2* 6d per bushel, sacks in. Chaff. - There 13 rather better enquiry, but prices are unchanged. We repeat last week's quotations, viz. - prime parcels, 85j per ton, sacks extra.
