Germany and China.
A Reuter message states that Germany demands an indemnity of 200,-
OWUaels (£40,000) for the erection >f a cathedral, and the degradation of theuGoverhor of Shantung, also a railway monopaly in the province of Shantung and the occupation of Kiio chau as a coaling station. China has declined to discuss the detnand3 until Kdtio-ohau has been evaluated.
