Entries for Maiden Hack Race (Bret day), and Trial Haok Handicap (second day), close on SATURDAY, January 15tb, 1898, at 9 p.m. Weights for second day's races will be deolared on SATURDAY, January 22nd, 1898, at about 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9.30 p.m. DEFINITION OP HACKS. Hacks Bhall mean horses that have never won an advertised race exceeding the net sum or value of 40 soys at time of start (Haok and Hunter Races excepted.) RULES & REGULATIONS. In all nominations description, ago and pedigree must be given, together with the colours of the rider. The advertised # fee must in every case accompany nominations and acceptances. All races to be ran under the "Rales of Racing." Ko bettipg allowed on the course except through the medium of the totalisator. The Committee reserve the right to alter any of the above dates.
