rureigu. The developments in the case of Captain Dreyfus have caused extra ordinary excitement in the city. Ifc is reported fchat the Emperor of Germany has assured M. Casmir Perier, formerly President of the Republic, that it was not true that Dreyfus betrayed France by divulging plans of her defences to Germany. The Daily Newß states that the Powers are prepared to blockade the Dardanelles unless their scheme ol autonomy for Crete is accepted by Turkey.
