Foxton Borough Council.
♦ The ordinary monthly meeting of the above was held at the Library Buildings last night at 7.30. Present— The Mayor (Cr. J. B; Stansell), and Crs. P. Hennessy, H. Coley, W. B. Rhodes and J. W. Walsh. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Xhe inward correspondence was read. Proposed by the Mayor, seconded by Cr Coley, That part section 804, lot 7, standing in the name of Mrs Robert McLean, be transferred to Margaret Elizabeth Hamlin as owner, in the Borough rate-book. Carried. Proposed by the Mayor, seoonded by Cr Rhodes, That Councillor Hennessy act as a delegate re Harbor Board Bill at tbe meeting to be held in the Hutt County Council offices, 27 Lambton Quay, Wellington, on Nov. -3rd. Carried. Propoßeed by Cr Rhodes, seconded by Cr Coley, That the usual honorarium of £10 be paid to J. R. Stansell for bis services as Mayor for the current year. Oarried. Proposed by Cr Walsh, seconded by Cr Rhodes, That the report of the Publio Works Committee as read be adopted. Oarried. Proposed by Cr Hennessy, seoonded by Cr Rhodes, That this Council acknowledge the circular re Municn pal Franchise Enlargement Bill re« ceived from the Dunedin County Council, and state this Council is in accord with the contents of circular. Carried. Proposed by Cr Rhodes, seconded by Cr Coley, That the ranger be instructed not to impound any horses or cattle for two months from this date during the hours between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Carried.
