WE; have just completed the task of marking off— which took some time owing to the large importations. It is questionable whether such a large and well-as-sorted stock was ever shown in Foxton before. The stock being too large for the premises we are enabled to show only part at a time. The following are a few of the lines [ which are causing such approving remarks, viz., " How beautiful !" " Is'nt it lovely !" " I must have some of that !" &c. Also when travellers call from Wellington to be told "We purchase Cheaper at OSBORNE'S," Our Children's Millinery, Bonnets and Hats are the admiration of all who see them. Our Prints at 3£d, 46. and \\ are greatly admired at the prices, but the 6d Print? are a marvel. In selling a parcel to go to Napier a lady remarked " I have not seen anything so cheap in Napier." It has been a wonder, (often expressed), what becomes of the Drapery that EDMUND OSBORNE imports in such large quantities. The answer is — our prices are such that we not only do a fair share of the Foxton trade, but receive orders from other parts of the colony. Last week we sold parcels of goods for the following towns, viz., Christchurch, Lyttelton, Napier, Palmerston N. In serving the Palmerston customers the Proprietor remarked that these outside orders were worth an advertisement, and would be made use of—hence these references. Possibly the words " We purchase Cheaper at OSBORNE'S," Have been echoed through the Colony. All are invited to call and inspect the Beautiful Stock that is being so highly spoken of.
