The Viceroy of India has reported to the Imperial Government that the Orakzais and Afridis in Bara Valley will oppose the British expedition to Tirau Pass.
Brigadier- General Bigga' division has succeeded in dislodging the enemy from a post dominating Chagra Valley.
Amidst heavy firing the infantry climbed the hillside, being supported by a mountain battery.
The losses on the British side were slight.
The Mazoz^is tribesmen, replying to Lieutenant General Sir Wm. Lockhart, stated that their conditions of peace included the British evacua tion of Samana Ridge and Khyber Pass.
