♦ ! The annual meeting was held on Wednesday night. Mr V. C. Ransom, the chairman, read the report, which stated the company was in a very prosperous oondition. The balance sheet showed a nett credit balance of £215 4s 3d. The payment of a dividend of 6 per cent on all paid up capital, and the carrying forward the balance to next year's account was recommended. The butter had maintained its quality, both at Home and in the Colony, and they had numerous customers, who were offering good prices for their brands, that the Company were unable to supply. The balance sheet showed the re< ceipts from sales of butter and fc milk to have, been £7,289 18s Id in the half year, and the payments for milk to the suppliers £4,645 15 a sd. The sum of £215 4s 8d had been paid in wages and £111 15a in firewood and cartnge. The other principal charges were — £127 4s 5d for interest, £110 16s 5d for freezing, £487 8s Id in railway and steamer freights, and £419 14s 5d for commissions. The Chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, pointed out that 8,161,050 gallons of milk had been dealt with, from which had been made 141,418 pounds of butter, valued at £5,889 at an average price of lOd per lb. The average price paid per gallon of lllbs of milk at Bd.BB. The report and balance sheet were adopted. Messrs* Lazenby, Ransom, W. Richmond were elected as directors.
