Foxton Racing Club.
A meeting of the abova committee was held at the Club's office last night at 8 o'clockt Present — Messrs Rhodos (chair), Border, W. Robinson, J. Robinson, W. Purcell and J. Howan. In the absence of the secretary afc Wolllington, Mr Geo.. 'Gray occupied tho position pro tern. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Mr Wanklyn was proposed and accepted as a member of the Olub. Nine tenders were received for building and other work in connection with the new grandstand, and it was ultimately decided that Mr Jenks' tender at £46 19* 91 for painting, etc , and Mr T. Eiston's tender £215 63 for building be accepted subject to the secretary calling a meeting on his return and confirming same. The programme for the next races was considered, and it waa decided that the programme as read be passed. This was all the business, and the meeting adjourned with a vote of thanks to the chairman.
